Rifle
The Lincoln Izaak Walton League Rifle shooting facilities consist of 50 yard,100 yard and 300 yard ranges.
The 50 yard and 100 yard ranges are open during daylight hours. Any member holding a RIFLE CARD AND GATE CARD has free access to these ranges. Except when a scheduled match is taking place. THE 300 YARD RANGE is open ONLY when the range is supervised by designated Range Safety Officers (RSO) or during the 300 yard benchrest shoots, the Big Bore Gong Shoots' and the Pistol and Rifle Silhouette shoots. Check the calendar or contact the Event chairmen for more information.
A cadre of volunteer member RSO’s have scheduled days and times when the 300 yard range will be available for members to use as a practice time without fees. Please respect the times and instructions. NOTE; The range is ONLY open when supervised.
Before using the Rifle Ranges please become familiar with the RIFLE AND PISTOL RANGE PROCEDURES.
REMEMBER THE USE OF THESE RANGES DEPENDS UPON YOUR SAFE USE OF YOUR FIREARM AND YOUR ABILITY TO PUT THE SHOTS ONLY INTO THE BACKSTOPS! Our sport should always respect our neighbors.
All rifles are banned from the 7 METER range.
On the 25 and 50 yard ranges you may fire any firearms using the .17/.22 Rimfire ammunition (rifle & pistol), muzzleloading firearms, shotguns firing slugs, and firearms using the posted list of typical handgun calibers. RIFLE RANGE ORIENTATIONS
New and or existing members enrolling in rifle range privileges for the first time are required to complete a range orientation with the new emphasis.
Members coming for orientation should plan for an hour and a half and bring a firearm of their choice and some ammunition to match. We will be doing live range experience as part of the orientation.
