Members 300 Yard Practice Rules

Members 300 - The RSO calendar shows the dates that our RSO’s, (Range Safety Officer) have volunteered to have to open the 300-yard range to our members. This “Members 300” will be free of charge with just a cost ($0.50 each) applied to targets if you don’t have your own. If you plan on attending one of these sessions, PLEASE stop at the 100-yard range first and get your rifle zeroed. It makes it so much easier for everyone. Our first priority for our surrounding neighbors and us is SAFETY. This means that a shooter must show that he and his equipment are capable to shoot on the 300-yard range. All new shooters on the 300-yard range must be qualified to do so. The requirement is that the shooter places five shots into a six-inch circle at 200 yards. If they cannot accomplish this they will not be allowed to shoot on this range. This requirement is only fair given that fact and condition of our 100-yard range, which sees a lot of the damage to the backstops and the posts that hold those. The RSO is “THE AUTHORITY” on the range, no ifs, and, or buts about it. What he says will be followed, or you will be asked to leave. We intend to provide a safe shooting environment on this range. If the procedures for safety are not followed you will be asked to leave and there may be further action taken depending on the transgression.

Due to a dedicated group of Range Safety Officers (RSOs) the 300yd range is now open to shooting. Click here for the current list of the times that the range is open to shooting and the RSO in charge. Remember safety is of up most importance and that THE RSO IS IN CHARGE OF THE RANGE.
