Bowling Pin
NOTE: All ranges will be closed March 22 and April 19 due to the High School Trap schoot!
29 June (Rimefire Handgun) (6PM-Dark)Attention fellow pistol shooters!
For those of you who are interested, I will try to explain how this event works. The goal of this event is to shoot off, not just knock over, 5 bowling pins from a table faster than the person your competing against. Basically two shooters will each have a table with five pins.
When the range master/referee says go, both shooters will start shooting until one of them gets all of their pins off their table.
The event isn't timed, you only have to be faster at clearing the table than the person you are competing with, and there is no limit on the number of rounds that can be fired. The tables will be approximately 4 ft. high, about 10-15 feet apart, and will be 25ft from the firing line. The pins will be spaced evenly across the table, and placed a certain distance from the back edge based on the class of the guns being used. It is double elimination, so you are guaranteed to get to shoot twice with each gun entered, and awards will be given to first and second place winners of each class.
There will be six classes to shoot in, all dependant on what type of gun(s) you're shooting. The six classes are:
Rimfire Revolver single-action
Rimfire Revolver double-action
Rimfire Semi-auto
Centerfire Semi-auto
Centerfire Revolver single-action
Centerfire Revolver double-action
Rimfires will be placed on the back edge, center-fire semi-auto will be placed in the middle, and center-fire revolver will be on the front edge. Only guns of like class will compete against each other (i.e. Rimfire single-action vs. Rimfire single-action, and Centerfire semi-auto vs. Centerfire semi-auto). Each contestant can enter two different guns in each class.
Cost to enter is 5 dollars per gun, or for every three guns entered, get a fourth free. Non-members and spectators are welcome, and concessions will be available for purchase while the supplies last.

Once again, this is a fun shoot and I highly recommend that you come out and try it. It's just a fun time and you will be with a group of great people; your friends & fellow IKE members! See you there!
